Payroll Specialist

We have been engaged by an international business to secure their next Payroll talent. The role sits within a wider (very supportive) payroll team which is responsible for processing the payroll for all the company's business groups. The payroll is multi frequency and consists of over 3800 employees. The position reports directly into the Payroll Manager and can be worked on a hybrid working pattern of 2 days in the office per week.

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrators or Senior Administrators who would be comfortable supporting on the following:

  • The administration of the payroll function via our outsourced Payroll Bureau service provider
  • Prepare and input data (including calculations) for monthly and weekly payroll in line with payroll deadlines.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with the weekly and monthly end to end payroll processes, including reconciliations of payroll reports.
  • Employee expense claims and associated payment transactions as appropriate.
  • Working collaboratively with HR and Finance including Creating payroll reports to send to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance
  • Provide support for Tax Year End activities i.e., P60's, P11D's.
  • Support any required payroll system testing as and when required

What we would like to see:

  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including tax, pension, and statutory payments.
  • Experience in delivering end to end payrolls.
  • Knowledge and experience of Payroll systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Working Rule Agreements would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel for data management, analytics, and reporting.
