Facilities Assistant (Temp Cover)
Day Rate: £100-£110 per day
Location: Kingston, London
Start: Immediate
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Assistant to provide temporary cover at a well-regarded school in London. This role involves ensuring the safety, security, and maintenance of school premises, supporting events, and liaising with external users. Ideal candidates will be reliable, proactive, and capable of handling various health & safety and maintenance tasks.
Key Duties:
- Ensure safety and security across school premises.
- Conduct regular inspections and light maintenance (including DIY and decorating).
- Set up areas for events and support external bookings.
- Assist with cleaning, including periodic deep cleans.
- Manage deliveries and help with furniture/equipment movement.
- Act as a key holder for emergency call-outs.
- Support events outside normal working hours.
- Operate equipment and assist with parking supervision.
Person Specification:
- Good knowledge of health & safety and routine maintenance.
- Physically fit to lift and move heavy objects.
- Able to work independently with high standards of cleaning and punctuality.
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Professional conduct with high attendance and appearance standards.
