Access Control Project Manager

Access Control Project Manager required. Our client has been providing buildings support to local authorities, social landlords, NHS trusts and private sector clients for over 40 years. They are looking for an Access Control Project Manager to join the team due to the growth of the business.

Successful candidates will handle the day to day running of works within the Security/access control department, managing all operational activities of a team of supervisors, site-based operatives and sub-contractors to ensure the successful, timely and cost-effective completion of all projects.

Position Overview

  • Responsible for overseeing all project jobs from start to finish, this will be from mobilisation, pre-start meetings, day to day delivery, right through to snagging and completion / handover and O+M files issued.
  • Building and issuing of site/works specific H&S RAMS, CPPs, works programs/ schedules, site logistic plans.
  • Attend weekly/ bi-weekly client meetings, report and delegate the required actions/ points raised to all relevant team members. Report back to Senior management with any issues that may carry delay/ costs implications for discussion.
  • Engaging and planning of Building Control on jobs in which this is required.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operatives & customers when required.
  • Co-ordination and day to day management of the Supervisors, engineers, and support staff. Supervisors to take lead on the day-to-day engineer's labour
  • Collating information and generating detailed reports for clients.
  • Ensuring weekly site progress/ H&S checks are undertaken and recorded by supervisors highlighting any critical H&S issues for improvements.
  • Arranging delivery of plant and materials alongside the supervisors.
  • Ensure snagging visits and reports are undertaken by the Supervisors.
  • Have input into the application and invoicing process for all projects.
  • Responsible for forming and submissions of quotations to clients for their approval.
  • Ensure that all work complies with the relevant sections of the 'Health and Safety at Work Act'.
  • Work with Bid team to provide initial scoping document and all supporting relevant photos.
  • Make sure jobs are carried out correctly, cost effectively and delivered on time in accordance to client specification and quality requirements.
  • Planning, scheduling, and reviewing workload to ensure labour output and on time delivery targets are achieved cost effectively in conjunction with the supervisors.
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, appraisals and end of year performance reviews.

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • Have/ working towards SMSTS qualification
  • Have/ working towards IOSH Managing H&S qualification
  • Full driving licence

**Access Control Project Manager

Position Remuneration

  • Salary: £40,000- £60,000
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, between 08:00am - 5:00pm, ½ hour unpaid lunch break
  • 21 days holiday increasing by 1 day every 2 years' service up to a maximum of 25 days, plus statutory days
