Location: LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Windsor, SL4 4AY

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, across a 7-day rota (any 5 days out of 7)

Salary: £36,000

Contract Type: Fixed Term, 12-month parental cover

Here at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort our 2024 season is in full swing, and we are recruiting for a Senior Hotel Operations Manager on a 12-month, fixed term contract.

Our awesome Hotel Senior Management Team look after the smooth, safe and enjoyable running of our various overnight accommodations, including our brand-new LEGOLAND® Woodland Village! You will oversee the delivery and continued development of our guest's hotel stays, by managing the Front of House and Leisure teams and driving them to deliver first class guest interactions at every opportunity.

You will lead your team by example, promoting a positive and diverse working environment, maximising opportunities to utilise the Merlin values to further develop the team culture. As an experience hotel manager, you will be consistent in your management of employee relations, drive and develop your team through training and coaching, and ensure that your teams are brand ambassadors for both the Hotels offering, and LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.

As an experienced hotel manager, you will naturally have a head for budgets, managing the P&L for the department utilising budget forecasting and financial data analysis to drive your commercial decisions. Of course this goes hand in hand with your health, safety and compliance knowledge, of which you'll be an SME for your area, creating and nurturing a positive health and safety culture. All of which will ultimately have a positive impact on our guests, leaving them with AWESOME memories of their overnight stay at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort!

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in Hotel Management is essential
  • You will have previously monitored budgets, financial performance and commercial targets
  • Experience driving KPI metrics is essential
  • You'll be well versed in safety and compliance within a hotels function
  • You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proficiency and a working knowledge of MS project for scheduling would be advantageous
  • Proactive in ensuring deliverables are met on time, risks are identified and mitigated, and issues are managed and resolved
  • Resilient with the ability to work under pressure

About the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort

We are looking for Senior Hotel Operations Manager to join our AWESOME team at the UK's favourite children's theme park; the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is the ultimate destination for families with children age 2-12. The Resort is home to two awesome LEGO themed Hotels and a host of rides, shows and attractions built around the iconic LEGO® brick. This role is based at the Windsor theme park, located in 150 acres of beautiful parkland.
