Role: IT Service Manager (BOWMAN)
Length: Initially until 31/03/2026

IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Pay Rate: £600 - £650 per day
Clearance: DV Clearance preferred, SC clearance accepted
One of my public sector clients are currently looking for a IT Service Manager (BOWMAN). They are looking for a IT Service Manager to join them on-site with travel to site in Wiltshire 5 days per week. This engagement will run initially until 31/03/2026 - this does have a view to extend beyond this date.
They are interested in Service Managers with experience of working in an Agile environment amongst multi-disciplinary teams. Past experience of working within the public sector would be ideal.
Key Requirements:
- Army or Navy background as being a main user of BOWMAN.
- Legacy IT systems experience
- Experience working on Military programmes
- Strong stakeholder managements skill at all levels internal and external
- Utilising Office 365 applications along with bespoke MOD Information Technology systems and applications (BOWMAN, CODES & SKKD) while ensuring compliance with JSP 440, 490 and 491.
- In depth knowledge of Bowman Radio Codification and BKVMS Equipment PECON, KFD and CIFID. through whole life use and maintenance.
- Ensuring sufficient BOWMAN key is ordered to support operational need within time constraints. This is to include the whole life procedure of all BOWMAN orders, yearly key and yearly key validation insuring each account has the correct crypto.
- Ability to work between military and civilian users / strong communication skills.
