Supported Housing Officer Vacancy
An established charitable organisation is currently looking to recruit a Supported Housing Officer based in the Bishop's Stortford area on a 6 month contract.
Location: Bishop's Stortford
Hours: 37.5 per week
Shifts: Shifts will be a mix of 8am-4pm, 10am-6pm and 12-9pm and working one weekend in 4
Pay: Up to £16 per hour umbrella
Duration: 6 month contract (potential for permanent work)
Supported Housing Officer – The role involves:
- Manage a case load of young service users
- Deliver emotional and life skills based support, assisting service users with day to day tasks
- Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users
- Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures including low level anti social behaviour and rent arrears
- Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears helping tenants with budgeting
- Carry out regular estate inspections
- Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements
- Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies
- Manage void properties to ensure the quickest re-let times including carrying out viewings and sign-ups
Additional requirements:
- Experience of providing tenancy support to vulnerable people, particularly homeless client groups
- An enhanced DBS check from within the last 3 years or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication skills and basic IT skills are essential
