The Role of Telesales Team Leader
As the Telesales Team Leader you will play a dual role in both leading the telesales team and actively participating in outbound sales calls. You will be responsible for driving the team's performance, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring that sales targets and KPIs are consistently met.

In addition to managing the team, you will make outbound calls to arrange appointments for field-based Technology Consultants and handle general inquiries when required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, managing, and motivating a team of telesales staff to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Conducting regular coaching sessions, providing feedback, and supporting team development.
  • Making outbound sales calls to generate new business opportunities and set appointments for field-based consultants.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships and representing the business professionally.
  • Defining and implementing strategies for outbound calling and marketing campaigns.
  • Monitoring team performance against KPIs, preparing reports, and implementing improvement strategies where needed.
  • Utilizing the business CRM system to record and manage customer information accurately.
  • Supporting the field-based team in market research and participating in sales events as appropriate.
  • Handling escalations and resolving customer issues effectively.

What You Need:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in outbound sales, with at least 1 year in a team leader or supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with high levels of discipline and the ability to inspire the same in others.
  • The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
