We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Patent Attorney with a specialisation in Organic Chemistry to join our client's dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual at Finals Standard to Newly Qualified level to contribute their expertise to the firm's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications in the field of Organic Chemistry
  • Conducting patentability assessments and providing strategic advice to clients
  • Managing patent portfolios and conducting patent portfolio analysis
  • Handling oppositions, appeals, and other contentious matters
  • Providing technical expertise and support to clients in the consumer products and industrial chemicals sectors
  • Collaborating with attorneys and clients to develop and implement IP strategies

Requirements:

  • Qualified or nearing qualification as a Patent Attorney
  • Specialisation in Organic Chemistry with a strong academic background in the field
  • Experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Organic Chemistry
  • Knowledge of patent law and regulations, with a focus on consumer products and industrial chemicals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
