A perfect opportunity for an experienced Scientist to join a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation!
Using your experience in antibody/protein purification, you will contribute to organisation-wide support of projects taking new biologics from target validation through pre-clinical evaluation. You take a lead in generating and purifying high quality proteins, including multi-pass membrane proteins, for structural studies. You will also be responsible for communication both within the protein group and across multiple disciplines within the company's R&D function.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- PhD in protein biochemistry or equivalent
- Extensive laboratory experience of expressing proteins using insect and mammalian cell systems
- Strong understanding and experience of protein purification techniques e.g. AKTA and the different types of chromatography (SEC, IEX, HILIC)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
