A highly regarded law firm in Merseyside is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Litigation to lead their commercial and civil litigation department in Southport. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the litigation department, managing a diverse caseload including property litigation, commercial disputes, estate disputes (contentious probate), and general civil litigation.
- Lead and mentor a team of litigators, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality legal services.
- Handle complex cases from inception to resolution, including court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the department and enhance service delivery.
- Foster strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and legal expertise.
Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will have c. 5 years PQE in litigation, with extensive experience in commercial and civil litigation.
- Proven track record in managing a litigation team or department.
- Expertise in handling a full range of litigation matters, including property, commercial disputes, and contentious probate.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stakes cases effectively.
