Sales Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key customer accounts and providing technical sales support within the marine technology sector. This role demands a proactive and confident individual with a strong engineering or offshore background and a proven track record in sales.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain important client relationships, ensuring prompt handling of client requests.
  • Analyse and address customer inquiries, identifying chances to offer additional products.
  • Actively engage with major clients, ensuring their service expectations are surpassed.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to establish relationships with new clients.
  • Prepare rental and sales proposals.
  • Handle the administration of client orders.
  • Relay technical specifications and requirements from clients to the workshop team.
  • Assist in the capital expenditure process of the business.
  • Contribute to business reports and ensure the completion of Customer Complaint Reports for assigned areas.
  • Participate in industry events and support business growth activities.

Sales Engineer Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in marine technology sales/rentals or relevant experience in offshore surveys.
  • Academic background in marine science or an engineering field.
  • Capability to drive and manage the sales cycle.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and client relationship management skills.
  • Familiarity with UK/EU export regulations for dual-use equipment is an advantage.
  • Effective communicator across all levels of the organization.
  • Ambitious, self-driven, and motivated.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
