As an Finance Assistant, you will be an integral part of the finance team, helping to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the financial processes. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with payroll and bank reconciliations.

My client is recruiting for a new Finance Assistant role in Gatwick.

Description

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Support payroll processing and maintain payroll records.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Liaise with other departments to gather financial information and resolve issues

Profile

  • Intermediate/Advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Previous experience arranging travel for a large organisation
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the organisation with tact and with a high level of cultural sensitivity
  • The ability to multitask - dealing with competing requests in a confident manner, weighing up urgency and deadlines to decide on priorities and advising managers when they can expect their work if unable to process promptly.
  • A flexible approach with a willingness to make a contribution to the wider team.
  • Previous experience working as a Finance Assistant is preferred.
  • May be working towards an Accountancy degree.
