My client is seeking a Finance Director to play a crucial role in their company. Working closely with the CEO, this person will be the driving force behind all financial aspects of the business, providing strategic input and direction to scale the business effectively. Experience in the Insurance Industry is essential.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Oversee financial management and operations, ensuring long-term financial planning is robust and effective.
  • Lead accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, and deal analysis.
  • Manage the business's insurance performance and commitments.
  • Report to the CEO as a key member of the executive team, contributing to the overall management of the company.
  • Formulate the company's future direction and establish a framework for prioritising strategic initiatives.
  • Define and disseminate metrics and KPIs, overseeing performance reporting.
  • Develop financial and tax strategies, ensuring all transactions and processing systems are optimised.
  • Implement operational best practices and provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory legislation for financial and tax reporting.
  • Manage company secretary duties, accounts preparation, taxation, options schemes, and audit processes.
  • Engage in fundraising processes and manage relationships with finance, data, and insurance third parties.
  • Prepare strategic and performance reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Over six years of experience as a Finance Director in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
  • Strong technical skills, preferably with an understanding of regulated businesses, such as insurers or MGAs.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of managing well at all levels of the organisation.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
