Marketing & Communications Administrator

Position: Marketing & Communications Administrator
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Location: Aldershot
Reporting to: Head of Marketing & Communications

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Administrator to join our dynamic Media & Communications team. This role will primarily support communications efforts, with occasional responsibilities in other areas of the department. You will work closely with three teams: Digital Marketing, Communications, and Brand & Creative, to support the broader organisation's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting marketing content for both print and digital media.
  • Collating and preparing information from colleagues for the Brand & Creative team.
  • Maintaining and developing strategic guides for volunteer Media Officers.
  • Proofreading communications and copy.
  • Contributing to idea-generation workshops for media and communications plans.
  • Assisting with internal communication projects across the organisation.
  • Producing reports from team-held data.
  • Collating information for press releases and publications.
  • Creating bi-weekly email newsletters by gathering information from various sources.
  • Monitoring and responding to emails in the group mailbox.
  • Assisting with the administration of national conferences and training sessions.
  • Performing other administrative duties as required.

Key Competencies:

Essential:

  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Proven experience as an administrator in an office environment.
  • Strong understanding of current marketing trends and communications practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong proofreading skills.
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and innovation in approach.

Desirable:

  • A recognised qualification in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in writing compelling communications.
  • Experience in E-Newsletter production and reporting.
  • Ability to work with both internal and external partners effectively.

Additional Information:

The role may require occasional travel to team events and activities, which will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
