We are seeking a Lead Early Years Practitioner to oversee a class of children aged 2 to 4 years. This role involves leading a team of three skilled practitioners and requires strong leadership and experience in early years education. The position is based in the vibrant Kensington area and offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute significantly to the early development stages of children.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and manage a team of three early years practitioners, ensuring high standards of teaching, safety, and care are maintained.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of engaging educational activities that cater to the needs of children aged 2 to 4.
- Monitor and assess the progress of children, providing feedback and support to both staff and parents.
- Ensure compliance with early years education regulations and standards.
- Foster a nurturing, creative, and inclusive environment that encourages children to learn and develop.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continuously improve the quality of education and care provided.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing a team within an early years setting.
- Minimum of a Level 6 qualification in Childcare or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Early Years.
- Excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and current education methodologies.
- Ability to engage effectively with children, staff, and parents.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
