Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role Finance Assistant for an academy based in Macclesfield.
This opportunity will provide the successful candidate to work in a stable and supportive working environment with scope for development. This is a great all round finance role with a major focus on Finance administration, purchase ledger and sales ledger.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be required to:
- Completing daily and monthly reconciliation of all bank receipts and payments
- Reconciliation and balancing of monthly intersystem payments across accounting systems
Preparing and posting journals into accounting systems
- Preparing and posting journals into accounting systems
- Preparing, posting of payroll journals and maintaining all pay records for our annual audit.
- Manage expense claims for staff.
- Ensure monthly pay variance analysis is completed in a timely manner for the management accountant.
- Data Entry.
- Reconciling supplier accounts on a regular basis and investigating differences.
- Monitor mailboxes and dealing with the finance emails as they arise.
- Supporting the Finance Manager and Head of Payroll with ad hoc duties that may arise.
To be considered for this role we are looking for individuals with the following:
- Previous experience of working within a finance function.
- Strong excel skills.
