Astoriom are a multi-national private equity backed business currently embarking on a period of growth. We are supporting them with their current requirement for a Stability Storage Manager who will be responsible for the storage facility based in Rochdale.
This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, high pressure environment where they can play an integral role in the success of the site and wider business.
The Role
This is a key role within the Rochdale facility, reporting into the General Manager for the site and holding accountability for all of the samples stored.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for delivery of stability storage services according to defined service levels including turnaround times, productivity levels and quality levels.
- To assume direct line management responsibility for all Stability Storage technicians in Rochdale
- To take responsibility for the checking and issuing of all work undertaken in the stability suite.
- To supervise and assist in the induction, training and supervision of all stability staff.
- To supervise and assist in the assessment of required staffing levels and recruitment of staff.
The Person
Given the importance of this role and the growth Astoriom are experiencing and which is planned to continue we are looking for proactive, driven candidates who are used to working at pace.
The successful candidate will display the following skills and attributes:
- Experience in fast paced distribution environment is important, laboratory or quality experience would be ideal but a food environment background would also be suitable
- Proactive approach, able to think ahead and resolve issues with a level head
- Experience managing a small team, motivating and leading in a high pressure environment
- Stringent attention to detail, experience working in a regulated environment beneficial
