Book Keeper

InteraKt Community is a day service for adults with learning, sensory, and physical challenges. We support and empower individuals using the arts to improve their confidence, communication, and life skills.

We use dance, drama, music and media production to inspire those in our local community to develop their voice and sense of self.

We are looking for a diligent, detail-oriented, people-centric bookkeeper to join our team for between 10-13 hours a week to help us manage our finances effectively, ensuring that we can continue making a difference in our community.

Main roles

  • The placeholder will be in charge of processing invoices, payments, petty cash, expenses, salaries, and receipts while consolidating paperwork & completing bank recs.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
  • Reporting will also be required as needed to internal and external stakeholders such as directors & trustees & grant funders & oversee year-end reports to external auditors, Company House and the Charity Commission.
  • Managing credit control and cash.
  • Provide financial advice and analysis to the senior team
  • Aid in fundraising applications via research projects and financial forecasting.

The applicant will need proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the SME or charity sector, and proficiency in web-based Sage, MS Office, Google Sheets, and Google Drive.

Good interpersonal skills are a must, and experience with the learning disability community is advantageous.

This post offers a hybrid work model, with a mix of in-house office work and remote work, totalling 11 hours per week. We understand the importance of work-life balance and are committed to providing flexible working hours.

A full DBS check will be carried out, and references will be required.
