One of our well-trusted clients in Accountancy Practice is looking for their next Accounts Senior who could contribute to the company's success story with their extensive knowledge and experience.

They are a popular independent, owner-managed accountancy firm who have won multiple professional awards. They have dedicated partners and staff, catering to a diverse clientele that ranges from self-employed individuals and charitable organisations to public sector entities and multinational corporations.

They are currently seeking an Accounts Senior to enhance their Accounting & Business Solutions team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing client portfolios, conducting comprehensive file reviews, and showcasing robust technical knowledge and skills.

Accounts Senior

They are seeking an Accounts Senior to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to the support of the senior management team, contributing to process enhancements, strategic planning, and decision-making within a smaller firm environment.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Preparing annual accounts for limited companies, LLPs, and partnerships.
  • Conducting independent examinations for larger charities and trusts.
  • Working on-site at client premises as necessary.
  • Establishing professional and confident relationships with clients, addressing telephone/email enquiries promptly, and escalating queries appropriately to enhance the firm's reputation and business opportunities.
  • Coaching and supporting junior team members on a daily basis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part or recently ACCA qualified, or possessing equivalent level knowledge.
  • Advanced experience and skills in accounts preparation within a professional practice.
  • Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues across various sectors.
  • Client-focused and commercially aware.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple responsibilities within tight deadlines.
  • Sound technical knowledge with a proactive approach to CPD.
  • Commitment to high standards of personal and professional performance, with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • Computer literacy and experience with accounts production software are desirable.
