Shared Ownership Manager

Role Overview

The Shared Ownership Manager will support the Residential Management Team and wider department by delivering the management of Shared Ownership service line and ensuring that all related administration duties are completed.

The successful candidate will be a good team player, able to work independently and use initiative, with strong organisational and communication skills (both verbal and written), the ability to work under pressure and a willingness to learn.

They will have previous experience and understanding of Shared Ownership management, including resales and staircasing process, as well as of working in a busy environment and being able to provide a high level of service to, and establish rapport with clients, residents and Savills' colleagues. A self motivated individual, they will also be able to demonstrate reliability, flexibility and initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage staircasing and resales process and requests. Where required, escalate and pass on staircasing and resales requests to appropriate third party service partners in accordance with process
  • To be point of contact for general enquiries, client requests, staircasing and re-sales requests, insurance claims
  • Update policy documents and manage information posted to the online resident portal
  • To calculate rent increases and issue rent notices
  • Oversee the management of any blocks and estate areas alongside the Residential Facilities Management team and administering the service charge function of these
  • Manage relationship with third party estate management providers
  • To be familiar with leases relating to the developments managed and be able to locate key information
  • Oversee resales and staircasing process, maintaining staircasing and resales trackers
  • To be the first point of contact when liaising with solicitors regarding conveyance/property queries and collating responses
  • To be a point of contact for Information Pack requests from lessees' solicitors and allocating these to the correct Savills team
  • To maintain records for all additional income and request invoices are raised as required
  • To maintain records and assist in collation of information for client reporting
  • Raise management fees in accordance with portfolio
  • Manage relationship with third party estate management providers
  • Review, query and approve wider estate service charge third party invoices to be recharged to residents
  • Manage rent arrears process alongside credit control team
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with clients and colleagues
  • Exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times

The Residential Block Management team consists of Residential Property Managers, Property Assistants and Facilities Managers managing a wide range of leasehold buildings and shared ownership properties . Our work is interesting, fast paced and varied.
