Assistant Financial Controller

NET Recruit have partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturing business located in the Bournemouth area, to assist them in their search for an Assistant Financial Controller to join their bustling team. With years of experience in their field behind them, the company pride themselves on continuously delivering high quality services and products to their customer base.

This role will support the existing Financial Controller with additional duties and tasks required by the team, including many transactional elements. This will be vital for the success of the business and will pose opportunities for future growth in the coming years for the successful candidate.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Owning the monthly financial close processes
  • Preparing the quarterly and annual statutory financial requirements as well as tax requirements
  • Handling prepayments and accruals
  • Managing both the internal and external audits in compliance with internal review procedures
  • Ensure the accounting records are maintained and overseeing the preparation of month end closing/journal
  • Supervising credit and collections, billing, cash application and accurate reporting
  • Supporting treasury regarding cash flow hedging and EUR & USD account monitoring
  • Making sure that the business is compliant to all controls
  • Managing the finance team, ensure their effectiveness

What you will need to Apply:

The company are looking for an experienced CIMA qualified finance professional, who ideally would have previous experience with a similar manufacturing setting. Applicants will need to have knowledge of ERPs including tables and structure, as well as good IT skills. Preferably you should have previous experience in managing a team and have excellent organisational skills, as well as being self-motivated and possess good time management abilities. For this role, it is imperative that the candidate has strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in verbal and written communication, in order to effectively deliver concise and detailed information to all relevant stakeholders when needed.

What you will get in Return:

For the successful candidate, the company are offering a salary of up to £65,000 to accompany a strong peripheral package, including a strong bonus allocation, pension and holiday allowance. They have an early finish on a Friday as well.
