Associate Civil Design Engineer

RGB are delighted to be supporting one of the South West's leading names within Civil Engineering and Construction to appoint a Chartered Engineer to head up all of the Groups Design functions.

As an organisation they are well established and affectionately known as being the go to company for any major infrastructure projects within the South West.

Having gained a significant pipeline of Civil Engineering projects they are in need of an autonomous and capable Design Lead with a Civil engineering and Infrastructure bias to lead a number of Design schemes across Cornwall.

Post lockdown the South West continues to attract more and more visitors, relocators and new businesses which has meant it's never been more important to ensure that the regions transport links are maintained and serviced to support the local authorities.

Due to the seniority of the role it is essential that you have previous experience within a Design Lead / Manager or Directors position with the following criteria:

Requirements for the role:

  • You will have a strong track record within the Urban Transport Sector and Environmental Design Space.
  • Demonstrable track record of working in the Civil Engineering Design industry.
  • Skilled in managing complex and challenging Highways & Environmental designs.
  • Proven track record within the Urban Transport Sector and Environmental Design Space.
  • Strong working knowledge of BIM.

You'll be technically aware, with sound knowledge of Infrastructure delivery gained with reputable Contracting businesses though some client side experience in addition would be a bonus.

This is a great opportunity to join a company that can offer career progression and stability past a contract or phase of work. They are involved in a number of historic and future frameworks.

This role would suit a team player who wants to help shape not only a business but the Community Spaces in Cornwall it supports.

The role would require you to be based in the office 3 days a week with some flexibility to work from home but someone only looking for a remote role wouldn't be suitable due to the nature of the team and projects that you would manage.

To be considered for this role please apply with an up to date copy of your CV along with a covering letter to support your application.
