Description
The key responsibilities of a Payroll and Pensions Manager will include, but may not be limited to;
- Manage the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for payroll.
- Ensure payroll and pension processing is in compliance with all relevant laws.
- Oversee the maintenance of current employee data systems.
- Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and Accounting teams.
- Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.
- Interpret pay policies, e.g., holiday, leave, etc.
- Process accurate and timely year-end reporting.
Profile
A successful Payroll and Pensions Manager should have:
- Not for Profit and Charities background desirable.
- Ability to commute to Blackburn.
- Leadership experience.
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing payroll and pensions.
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices and principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using payroll software.
