Role Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Business Development Director to join our growing team. This full-time role offers a flexible hybrid or remote working arrangement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working with the UK Central Government and a proven background in technology consulting services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategic business development initiatives to drive growth and surpass sales goals.
  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the UK Central Government and broader public sector.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop customized solutions that align with client needs and expectations.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, pitches, and presentations to win new contracts and partnerships.
  • Track market trends, policy changes, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for business expansion.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals to ensure successful contract awards and revenue growth.
  • Provide regular updates on business development activities, performance, and pipeline to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years of experience in business development, focusing on the public sector or UK Central Government.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the technology consulting services sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with government and public sector clients.
  • Strategic thinker with the capability to create and execute effective business development plans.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, with a high level of accountability.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid/remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a consulting firm.
  • Extensive network within the public sector and UK Central Government.
  • In-depth understanding of emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within the public sector.
