Senior Finance Assistant required to join a friendly and well established not for profit organisation based in Manchester on a fixed term, full-time basis. My client is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Assistant to support their finance team.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Assistant
- Customer facing support services responsibilities
- Cashiering transactional activities
- Providing outstanding customer support to students and staff in relation to financial transactions
- Provision of financial information, advice and guidance
- Manage the processes around the organisations largest asset, its bank account, in a controlled disciplined and efficient manner.
- Responsibility for ensuring the security and control of all cashiering functions, including the accurate posting of income, investigation of errors and reporting and resolution of discrepancies.
- Processing payments and foreign payments onto SAP
Required skills and experience of the Senior Finance Assistant
- Strong transactional finance experience
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous data inputting experience
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritise own workload
