1:1 Teaching Assistant

Zest Education are currently recruiting a hardworking and passionate full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join an amazing school based in Bournville. You will be responsible for supporting a student in Year 2. This is a full-time role so you will be required to work Monday through to Friday. This position is due to start as soon as possible. Role and responsibilities:

  • Provide an individual student with a specific curriculum of teaching and learning activities, making required modifications and adaptations.
  • Communicate with staff and other relevant professionals, sharing student data when necessary.
  • Assess, record and report on development, progress, and attainment.
  • To assist, encourage, and inspire the child, fostering self-directed behaviour and learning.
  • Support the school's goals, core principles, ethos and engage in a collaborative approach to all facets of school life.
  • To assist with general school duties, e.g., setting up classroom, preparing resources and displays.

You must have:

  • Relevant experience in an educational setting is desirable.
  • A good knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • A genuine interest in wanting children to achieve academically.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and active listening skills.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
