Site Engineer with a minimum of 3 years' experience required to join a South West Civil Engineering Contractor.
Projects will be supporting South West Water, Western Power Distribution, Local Authorities and The Environment Agency on a number of schemes across the region.
Due to the nature of our business, regular travel within the south west is required.
Role Overview:
- Setting out and surveying on various sites containing highways, earthworks, RC structures, and drainage
- Use of a CAT & Gene to locate and mark services ahead of excavating.
- Checking drawings and quantities for accuracy and errors.
- Production and updating of Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Site documentation.
- Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
Qualifications/Experience:
- ICE Accredited Training Scheme (IEng/CEng)
- Transition into Project Management.
- An industry applicable HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent in Civil Engineering.
- Recent experience as a Site Engineer with minimum three years on site experience, ideally to include work on highways, earthworks, RC structures, drainage etc.
- Experience with GPS and other Setting out digital equipment.
- Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
- CSCS card.
- Demonstrable relevant civils based experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines.
