About the Role:
As a
Dispatch Operative
, you'll be at the heart of the company's dispatch operations, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped in line with high standards. Reporting to the Internal Sales Manager, you will also be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, working closely with internal teams, and ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking, Packing & Dispatching Orders: Ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for dispatch, adhering to both UK and export regulations.
- Stock Management: Maintain up-to-date stock records and assist with replenishment as needed, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, actively participate in risk assessments, and promote a safe working environment.
- IT Systems & Documentation: Use company software to track and manage dispatch operations, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
- Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with internal teams and external logistics partners to ensure smooth dispatch operations.
- Time Management: Work to strict deadlines, ensuring timely dispatch during busy periods.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to work collaboratively and liaise with both internal teams and external logistics partners.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when picking, packing, and documenting orders.
- Proficient IT Skills: Confident in using dispatch and inventory management systems.
- Time Management: Able to prioritise and meet tight deadlines, especially during peak times.
- Health & Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe environment.
- Team Player: A cooperative attitude, with the ability to contribute to collective goals and resolve problems effectively.

- Working hours 7:30am – 4:00pm Mon-Thursday and 7:30 – 3:30 Friday.
