Management Accountant
Taunton, Somerset
£40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Our client, a highly esteemed and industry-leading company, is currently seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for collaborating with various departments and senior management to drive informed decision-making. You will achieve this by analysing and reporting financial results to support and enhance business performance.
The responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve the inventory reporting system while overseeing periodic cycle counts and the annual stocktake.
- Develop and manage accurate product standard costings, and provide production analytics to assess site performance.
- Provide systems migration support, to ensure a fluent transition and long-term optimization.
- Support customer contract negotiations by providing detailed customer and product profitability analyses.
- Update the site controller with revenue, cost, and balance sheet analyses, and provide data and reports, including forecasting, actuals, and budgeting.
- Provide assistance in monthly, quarterly, and strategic planning, including the preparation of the annual budget.
- Oversee statutory accounts and support both external and internal audits to ensure compliance.
- Give support to other team members to ensure operational consistency.
The candidate:
- Qualified CIMA or an equivalent professional certification.
- Proven experience in manufacturing with an understanding and knowledge of ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical and non-technical information effectively, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, even under pressure.
