Location: Primary School in Dagenham, London

Position: Part-Time (5 days a week), Term Time Only

About Us: We are a leading educational recruitment agency dedicated to placing passionate educators in exceptional schools. We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join a welcoming primary school in Dagenham, London. This part-time role will commence in September 2024 and is term-time only.

Role Overview: As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the early development and learning of young children. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a nurturing and stimulating environment, ensuring each child receives the best possible start to their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and education to nursery-aged children.
  • Support children's learning and development through play-based activities.
  • Assist in planning and implementing engaging and age-appropriate activities.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet the needs of all children.
  • Participate in school activities, events, and professional development sessions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in early years education (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent).
  • Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Working Hours:

  • Monday and Tuesday: Full day
  • Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: Half day
