We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join a welcoming primary school in Dagenham, London. This part-time role will commence in September 2024 and is term-time only.
Role Overview: As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the early development and learning of young children. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a nurturing and stimulating environment, ensuring each child receives the best possible start to their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education to nursery-aged children.
- Support children's learning and development through play-based activities.
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet the needs of all children.
- Participate in school activities, events, and professional development sessions.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in early years education (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent).
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Working Hours:
- Monday and Tuesday: Full day
- Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: Half day
