Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our supportive team, with a particular focus on supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children with ASD, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
- Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages children with ASD to achieve their full potential.
- Utilise specialised strategies to promote social skills and emotional well-being.
- Assist with the development of communication skills using various ASD-friendly techniques.
Requirements:
- Experience in supporting children with additional needs, particularly ASD.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by children with ASD and how to address them.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
- Relevant qualifications in SEN support or a willingness to undergo training.
