NJR Recruitment are partnered with a leading firm of Pension specialists offering a family orientated working environment. Over the years they have built an excellent reputation for providing specialist SSAS pensions administration services. Our client is now offering an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Consultant to join their team in the Bolton or Leicester. The Business Development Consultant will be responsible for leading the sales efforts, achieving revenue targets, and driving growth. This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing relationships with intermediaries and clients, and ensuring the successful delivery of the SSAS services.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Devlopment Consulant:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement SSAS sales strategies to achieve target financial goals.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the UK market.
  • Create and execute plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediary partners, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute strategies to manage key intermediary relationships effectively.
  • Understand client needs and provide customized solutions, including introductions to WBR Tax and Law colleagues where appropriate.
  • Ensure high levels of intermediary and client satisfaction from prospecting through to onboarding**.**

Sales Operations and Performance Tracking:

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and KPIs to ensure targets are met.
  • Adhere to sales processes and best practices, working closely with the New Business Team.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with marketing, technical development, and SSAS administration teams to align strategies.
  • Participate in product development and marketing strategy discussions.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between SSAS sales and other divisions, particularly Tax Advisory and Law.
  • Deliver presentations at events, workshops, and meetings, utilizing company best practices.
  • Contribute to WBR's public relations and marketing programs by writing copy for articles, blogs, web pages, and product literature.
  • Act as a strong brand ambassador for the company.

Compliance and Values:

  • Comply with Health & Safety Guidelines as set out in the Health & Safety Management System.
  • Demonstrate behaviors in line with our Company Values 'PEER'.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • The role may be subject to credit and DBS checks.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience in the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience with member-directed pension arrangements - SIPP & SSAS.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Elevated level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Adaptability and openness to change.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
