We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our growing company as a Driver's Mate. This role is integral to our Transport team, where you will assist our drivers in delivering a smooth and efficient service that exceeds customer expectations. This is a physical role that requires the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
**Day to Day of the role:
- Prepare the vehicles for deliveries, ensuring all goods are properly secured and organised for transport.
- Assist our drivers in loading and unloading goods on and off the vehicle as directed by our customers.
- Accompany our driver on delivery routes and provide assistance as required.
- Deliver goods in a courteous and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Complete all paperwork with detail and clarity relating to stock, delivery, payment, and collection/returns.
- Comply with Health and Safety policies, taking care of yourself and your colleagues.
- Perform other duties within the scope of your skills, knowledge, experience, and responsibility as may be required.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks throughout the day.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
