We are seeking a compassionate and reliable carer to provide long-term care for an elderly woman in her mid-80s every Sunday from 8:00 to 20:00. She does not have any underlying health conditions. We require assistance with basic daily activities to ensure her well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with personal care tasks
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in her bedroom and bathroom
- Accompanying her throughout the day, including daily walks, medical appointments, etc.
- Read and interpret medical records, make doctor appointments
- Perform light massage or other comforting techniques to alleviate any discomfort
- Be flexible and adaptable to her needs and preferences
- Ensuring her well-being and comfort
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in caregiving, preferably for elderly individuals
- First aid certification
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as temperature and blood pressure monitoring
- Proficient in handling medication
- Ability to read and understand medical records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with light massage or other comforting techniques
- Experience making and managing doctor appointments
