Job Title: Digital & Commercial Trading Analyst/Retention Trading Analyst

Location: Shoreditch, London (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months contract initially

Max. Budget: £75k-£85k per annum + paid holidays + pension or £400-£450 per day Inside IR35

The Opportunity:

  • We are seeking an experienced Commercial Performance professional to craft compelling narratives around our paid customer performance, bringing data to life by weaving it with ongoing projects, initiatives, and external market factors.
  • This role is central to partnering closely with the ecommerce acquisition and retention teams, transforming raw data into strategic stories that shape decision-making and fuel growth.
  • The ideal candidate will immerse themselves in the intricacies of client's digital business across diverse EMEA markets, collaborating seamlessly with ecommerce managers to drive toward—and surpass—quarterly and annual targets.
  • This role involves more than just tracking and forecasting performance metrics; it's about extracting meaningful insights that anticipate challenges and uncover opportunities, enabling growth teams to proactively enhance performance.
  • By layering analytics with a forward-looking view, the candidate will play a crucial role in crafting strategies that not only respond to the present but also shape the future of our paid customer performance.

What You'll Do:

  • Have experience in the online and ecommerce industry, the more diverse the better
  • They should live the Customer Journey Steps - to ensure emerging trends are identified and anomalies addressed before they impact the business so we can drive step changes in our behaviours and our customer experience
  • They should have a Point of view on external factors driving the business - industry data, their influence on the business
  • They should be involved in every step of the way in the different initiatives and new launches in an ever-changing dynamic business - from identifying the ideal KPIs to measure in the planning stages to the actual measurement and analysis after the fact.
  • Align closely with Testing and Optimization teams in partnership with the ecommerce teams, always ready to provide them with actionable test ideas and establish a catalogue of current and historical tests and their effectiveness
  • Develop and manage efficient Forecasting techniques for the business
  • Prepare detailed presentations, analysis, and materials to support the senior management team with QBRs and Strategic business reviews

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Commercial Performance experience, with demonstrated success in fast moving customer centric ecommerce environments
  • Numerate and Articulate - Proven ability to transform complex data into a compelling and actionable narrative
  • Comfortable with being an individual contributor operating in ambiguity
  • You are tenacious and resilient
  • You are an expert in building and maintaining strong relationship across a corporate, matrix organisation
  • Always curious about the "Why"
  • Customer-centric in your thinking and will challenge yourself, your team, and your colleagues to deliver the absolute best customer experience.
  • Take ownership of the performance of migrations and retention, forecast within +/- 5% accuracy
