Job Title: Temporary Primary School Caretaker

We are seeking an experienced Caretaker to join a primary school based in Archway, Islington on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the school premises, ensuring the site is safe, secure, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance tasks and minor repairs around the school.
- Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
- Open and close the school, ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Monitor heating, lighting, and security systems.
- Liaise with external contractors for larger maintenance tasks.
- Perform regular health and safety checks and maintain relevant records.
- Support with setting up and clearing spaces for school activities and events.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a caretaker in a primary school setting is essential.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance and health and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to perform various duties as required.
- Must be able to work full-time hours.
- A valid DBS check is essential for this role.
