Exciting Opportunity for a History & RE Teacher in Tower Hamlets!
Are you a passionate and dedicated History & RE Teacher looking to inspire and educate students across Key Stages 3? We are seeking an enthusiastic History & RE Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school for girls in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our inclusive and supportive learning environment.
History & RE Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and creative History lessons, and occasionally RE lessons, to students across Key Stage 3.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum and promote critical thinking.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their learning journey.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the Humanities department's success.
- Participate in school events and activities to promote History and RE education.
History & RE Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for History and have a little experience teaching Religious Education.
- Ability to differentiate teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Experience teaching History and RE at the secondary level is desirable but not essential for NQTs.
