Legal Secretary

Join this expanding, regional law firm in their office in Southampton. They are currently seeking a part time Administrative Assistant / Secretarial support.

Job Purpose:

To provide comprehensive legal secretarial support as part of a wider support team comprising other legal secretaries, senior legal secretaries and legal admin assistants, to a team of Fee-earners

Through internal and external client service, teamwork, initiative, communication and self-management to act as an ambassador for the department and firm at all times.

This includes:

  • Diary management
  • File management
  • Taking calls and client liaison
  • Drafting documents
  • Marketing and networking
  • Assist with accounts

We are looking for someone with:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, research tools and other system implemented by the firm such as case management.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, documentation, legal processes, etc would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent telephone manner and competent knowledge of telephone system.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and team skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexible and dependable, able to take the initiative.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • Conscientious, approachable and enthusiastic.
  • Able to quickly build confidence, respect and trust with others

This role is part time, 21hrs spread across the week.
