Continuous Improvement Manager Black Belt

A Continuous Improvement Manager (Black Belt) contract role has just become available, for a well-established client in the Bristol area. This business has undergone sustained growth to produce high-value, complex components for various safety-critical industries. This company is looking for a contract professional that can help deliver end to end operations excellence, helping to build an even more efficient and profitable workplace. If successful, you'll gain a competitive hourly rate of £60 - 70 p/h, be provided with flexible working hours and have the autonomy to drive continuous improvement across the plant.

Responsibilities for the Continuous Improvement Manager (Black Belt) role include -

  • Deliver large scale business improvement projects, influencing stakeholders at Exec level.
  • Use the relevant Quality tools to analyse current processes on-site and changes where appropriate.
  • Ensure that the required quality, time frames and budgets are adhered to.
  • Use software such as Minitab and Microsoft Project to monitor data and provide full traceability.
  • Mentor staff with the use of problem-solving tools and lean techniques.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to identify potential risks and identify areas of improvement.

It would be great to hear from you if you've had experience in the following -

  • Experience within a similar role - Business Improvement, Consultant etc.
  • Experience delivering Black Belt Sigma projects, within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use and demonstrate the use of Quality tools such as Pareto analysis, DMAIC, VSM etc.
  • Ability to use software such as Excel for data analysis to a strong level.
  • Engineering, or relevant education within a technical division (Six Sigma Black Belt Level).
