The Peer Support Worker / Youth Worker with lived experience will work alongside the therapy team facilitating training and groups. Based at their Wymondham office and throughout Norfolk.

Location: Wymondham, Norfolk, NR18 0AN
Salary: £25,350 pa, pro rata
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: 1 year fixed term (subject to extension)

They offer outdoor-based occupational therapy programmes as well as family and community sessions across Norfolk. Their programmes empower young people aged 7-25 and families, who face complex and difficult challenges in their lives.

They deliver high quality training that empowers people with lived experience of mental health services and enables schools, workplaces and community groups to support people.

The role

They are looking for an enthusiastic team member with lived experience of receiving mental health support, who understands the role that positive activities can have for the health and wellbeing of young people, adults and families.

In this post you will be:

  • Facilitating their peer support worker training
  • 1-2-1 mentoring of trainees on the PSW training
  • Co-facilitating occupational therapy groups in the community and at the therapy woodlands
  • 1-2-1 sessions for young people
  • Supporting community events to promote services and run activities
  • Visiting schools and community groups.
  • Supporting the gathering of testimonials, feedback and generating reports for funders and supporters.

Closing date: They will be interviewing for the role on a rolling basis - arranging interviews as they receive suitable applications.
Interviews will take place at their office in Wymondham, Norfolk.
