About the Role:

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional eager to further your career? Join us as a Group Assistant Accountant where you will support the finance team with transactional and month-end duties, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Group Assistant Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting bank reconciliations and assisting with month-end tasks.
  • Running daily and weekly financial reports, providing insightful commentary where required.
  • Making payments and ensuring compliance reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and addressing queries.
  • Managing expenses and the Finance inbox, handling queries from operational teams.
  • Maintaining data accuracy and integrity across financial records.
  • Assisting in the preparation of regular and ad hoc financial and non-financial reports.
  • Supporting the preparation of information for audit purposes and statutory accounts.

Key Requirements:

The role requires a quality-focused individual who is dedicated to developing their knowledge and experience. Key requirements include:

  • 2:1 at degree level.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong numerical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and a positive work ethic.
  • Fantastic organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
  • Driven and motivated, with a proactive approach to improving processes.
