Contract Network Field Engineer

Being a Field Engineer isn't for everyone, but if you'd like to travel the country over the next 6 months or so and see the sights then this might be the contract for you.

Client Details

Working for a well established national business, you'll receive a company vehicle and all the expenses and support you need for the job so this is definitely inside IR35 and will pay around £200 to £250 per day.

Description

The main objective of the role is replace legacy cables, routers & switches at a number of sites spread across the UK. There will also be some firewall configuration.

Profile

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role where you're happy with extensive travel
  • Experience of network cabling (mostly replacing old cables and tidying up)
  • Knowledge of router and switch configuration (Netgear, Aruba, Meraki etc.)
  • Experience of Barracuda firewall configuration would be an advantage
  • Clean drivers licence
  • Ability to work to a pre-agreed schedule at various sites across the UK

Job Offer

Please note this will be an initial 6 months contract assignment with the possibility of extension. You will be required to travel extensively on a weekly basis so please keep this in mind before applying.
