Are you an enthusiastic bookkeeping professional looking for a rewarding role in a dynamic, social business? Stafflex are currently recruiting for a growing accountancy firm in Huddersfield seeking a skilled Bookkeeper with payroll experience to join their team!
We're looking for a permanent Bookkeeper to handle various financial tasks, including VAT returns and payroll duties. This diverse role offers the opportunity to work with a range of clients and expand your skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data entry using various accounting software (Quickbooks, Xero, etc.).
- Maintaining accurate client records.
- Producing financial reports for clients.
- Managing and submitting client VAT returns.
- Processing standard monthly wages.
- Assisting with CIS return submissions.
- Working on monthly HMRC submissions for wages and CIS returns.
The Ideal Candidate:
- At least 3 years of bookkeeping and data entry experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 50, Xero, Quickbooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud.
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., Brightpay, Sage payroll) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with a good telephone manner.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
