Finance Manager

Our client has an immediate requirement for an Interim Finance Manager to join them at their site based in South Wales.

Reporting in to the Group Finance Director the successful candidate will have experience within a comparable role and be accustomed to the challenges of a fast paced environment.

This is a permanent site based position with an ideal start date in the first week of August.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

Preparation of monthly/annual group consolidated management accounts including the profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow in time for monthly board meetings

Liaise with various managers throughout the group to plan cash flow throughout the group on a daily basis.

Responsible for controlling short term cash flows

Preparation of daily group sales and cash flow reports

Manage group stock loan declarations and liaise with bank

Preparation of weekly group stock summary for submission

Produce monthly group accounts packs for group

Take an active role in planning discussions around group and individual company budgets.

Produce consolidated group budget packs

Negotiate cost budgets with department managers

Weekly profit and loss account production along with accompanying production report.

Maintenance of fixed assets register and capital projects.

Monthly payroll reconciliations and wages posting to SAP.

Manage hire purchase contracts and maintain supporting schedules.

Manage Invoice Financing ledgers and send supporting monthly reconciliations to bank

Various weekly reports emailed to managers e.g. stock and sales summaries.

Keeping a record of payments due for the weekly payment run and negotiating payment plans with suppliers.

Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and submission to bank

Submission of other third party reports

Work with the production team to comprise detailed monthly stock schedules.

Agree sales tonnages with intercompany managers and raise monthly sales invoices as well as maintaining all sales schedules.

Help to oversee the day to day running of the accounts department including managing annual leave and clearing exceptions on the clocking system.
