We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join a charitable organisation based in Bradford. The role is managing a team of 3 and reporting into the Head of HR. There is a diverse workforce of around 450 employees based across the UK. The role will involve providing advice and support to line managers on complex ER cases, performance management and queries throughout the employee life cycle. It will also involve day to day managing, coaching, and training of the HR team, managing HR systems, reviewing HR policies, and supporting with payroll when required.

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager with a strong background of managing ER cases across a diverse workforce and managing and developing a successful HR team.

Day to day duties include:

  • Manage a team of 3 HR staff, providing support and coaching to develop a successful HR team
  • Providing support to line managers across a wide range of HR queries
  • Support managers with complex ER cases and conducting interviews, investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
  • Support with developing HR and Payroll processes and policies
  • Produce HR reporting and analysis, monitor compliance and HR performance
  • Manage HR systems and ensure accuracy
  • Oversight of recruitment processes and onboarding and support HR team when required
  • Oversight of Payroll

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous HR Management experience
  • Team management experience
  • Strong knowledge of ER processes and handling complex ER cases
  • A good understanding of UK employment law and ACAS best practices
  • Empathetic with strong communication skills
  • Good IT skills including Excel
  • CIPD is an advantage but not essential
