As a Graduate Finance Analyst, you will support the Supply Chain Business Partner by analysing financial opportunities and providing day to day reports to the professional sales department. You will play a crucial role in managing rebate provisions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting various financial processes
Key Responsibilities for the Graduate Finance Analyst
- Manage quarterly and annual rebate provisions, produce reports, and calculate rebates payable for professional customers
- Set up regular rebate meetings with the professional sales team to track quarterly and annual rebate accrual rates
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of rebates for professional customers
- Attend monthly professional sales and marketing meetings
- Ensure the accuracy of daily, weekly, and month-end sales and margin reports produced by shared services for the professional sales and hire teams
- Collaborate with shared services to streamline and automate all reports in SAP Analytics Cloud
- Support interim and year-end audits with reports and rebate analysis
- Run and process a monthly professional profit centre cleanse to ensure all sales and margin figures are correctly posted
- Administer monthly and quarterly commission and bonus reports for payroll
- Track, calculate, and recharge for price supports as needed
- Share monthly and quarterly turnover reports with customers
- Produce monthly overheads reports by cost centre to support the leadership team
- Support the Professional Business Partner in creating and preparing the annual sales budget
- Actively contribute to team meetings to develop an idea-sharing platform and ensure consistency in the reports provided to the business
- Conduct ad-hoc reports and analysis projects to support the business
Experience, Attributes, and Skills Required for the Graduate Finance Analyst
- Starting your study in finance or recently graduated in accountancy qualification
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and postings
- Experience working in a commercially focused finance department (ideally)
- Advanced Excel, including PivotTables, higher-level formulas, and macros
- Communicative, team player, attention to detail, analytical, proactive, and a desire to continually implement improvements
