Practitioner Psychologist - Children & Young People Location: Home-based with travel to services in your region
Ideal Base: Leeds or surrounding area
Contract: Full time (Part time considered)
Salary: Up to £63,000 pro rata (dependent on experience)

We are proud to be partnering with a leading provider of specialist services for children and young people, to recruit a passionate and experienced Practitioner Psychologist. This is a flexible, home-based role with travel required to local services within your designated region (typically within 90 minutes' travel)

About the Role You will work across a group of education and care settings, delivering specialist psychological input for children and young people with complex emotional, social, and behavioural needs. This is an exciting opportunity to shape therapeutic approaches through consultation, assessment, and intervention, while supporting trauma-informed care and staff development.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver psychological assessments, formulations, and intervention planning
  • Offer clinical consultation and support to multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to trauma-informed service development
  • Provide training and reflective practice to education and care staff
  • Participate in clinical governance and supervision

Essential Requirements

  • HCPC registration as a Clinical, Forensic, Counselling, or Educational Psychologist
  • Doctorate (or equivalent) in Psychology
  • Experience working with children and young people with complex needs
  • Understanding of the impact of developmental trauma and ACEs
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport

Desirable Experience

  • Additional clinical training in CBT, DBT, DDP, EMDR or Systemic approaches
  • Experience in therapeutic education or residential care settings
