Looking for a new role within an amazing organisation?

Reed are seeking an enthusiastic and determined Children's Home Registered Manager to run a new children's home in Saxmundham, Suffolk. This role is not just about managing a children's home; it's about creating a nurturing and supportive environment where children can thrive!

  • £42,500 - £46,500 with huge bonus potential (OTE £70,000)
  • Saxmundham, Suffolk
  • Relocation Bonus: Up to £5,000 if required!

Day to day of the role:

  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team to provide exceptional care and create a homely environment for the children.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with regulations and achieving high standards.
  • Develop and implement care plans that cater to the individual needs of the children.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, working closely with a designated Psychologist and dedicated education service.
  • Engage in direct therapeutic work with children and utilise child-centred budgets to maintain the home to the highest standard.
  • Provide support and guidance to your team, including a Deputy Manager, Seniors, and Support Workers.
  • Ensure the home is prepared for Ofsted inspections and maintain a "Good" or "Outstanding" grade.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience relevant to the residential care of children.
  • At least 2 years' experience supervising and managing staff.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce.
  • A track record of "Good" or "Outstanding" grades in recent Ofsted Inspections.
