Education Support Worker

A fantastic school we support is seeking to appoint a dedicated, passionate and empathetic education support worker to join their close-knit team. Our school provides high-quality, individualised and small group learning for up to 40 pupils aged 7-16.

About the school:

  • All students have an EHCP associated with learning and communication difficulties and autism.

About the role:

  • Provide outstanding support for students with additional needs, helping them to engage in their learning
  • Work on a 1:1 basis where required to help support academic and personal progress
  • Support the classroom teacher in the day-to-day running of the lessons and classroom
  • Help students develop their emotional wellbeing and equip key life skills

About you:

  • Must have a genuine passion for making a positive difference to the lives of young people
  • Able to remain calm and professional, especially when managing challenging behaviour
  • Previous experience working with students with additional needs is preferable
  • Must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle due to working between two sites
  • Good sense of humour
  • Willing to be adaptable and flexible

Working hours will be 8:45am - 4:45pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
