Management Accountant – Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Salary circa £50,000 - £55,000 DOE

Are you an experienced Qualified Management Accountant ready for an impactful role in a thriving business? Due to a recent team restructure, our client urgently needs a capable and qualified individual to join their finance team on a potential temporary-to-permanent basis. They're looking for someone who can start immediately but are open to waiting for the perfect candidate.

About You:

  • Qualifications:

ACCA or CIMA qualified with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE)

  • Technical Skills:

Strong Excel skills are essential, and Power BI experience is highly advantageous

  • Experience:

Hands-on accountant with a keen eye for detail; previous experience in the construction industry would be a significant advantage

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly Management Accounts and G/L trial balance for review
  • Complete monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for management approval
  • Maintain the general ledger, including posting journals, and updating prepayments, accruals, CoS, and deferred income schedules
  • Manage Sales, WIP, Invoicing, Credit Control, and Revenue Recognition, ensuring data integrity and accurate customer billing
  • Prepare Management Information & Analysis and support budget and cost analysis
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and manage depreciation
  • Support VAT and Tax returns
  • Resolve customer and vendor queries promptly
  • Assist with annual and local audits, as well as statutory accounts
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by management
